Exhibition Figure Libre. Stéphane Ashpool | STUDIO MTX | Galerie du 19M | from 27 march to 16 June 2024

Until June 16, 2024, the Galerie du 19M invites Stephane Ashpool to a carte blanche exhibition, at the intersection of his creative universe and the expertise of the Métiers d’art.

For this occasion, the designer and Studio MTX, the resident House of 19M, have envisioned and developed exceptional pieces. Stretching their expertise from clothing to architecture, Studio MTX has created a metallic triangular embroidery, found in a macro version as a banner-flag and applied on a micro scale to a “stole of consecration” imagined by Stéphane Ashpool.

Studio MTX also revisits weaving, in an urban version mixing cords, metal tubes, and perforated grid, offering a reinterpretation of tweed applied to a jacket imagined by the designer. Pieces printed in 3D and sewn onto the jacket create a three-dimensional structure in which metallic ribbons intertwine.
