How did you meet Collection Latil ?
I would say that I met Anne Sophie. She came through the door with some of her friends. Marjolaine Leray was certainly the link between us. Anne Sophie is smart and pretty as a spring day. And today we are friends.
Is there a theme in your work ?
If there is a “theme ” in my work, I would say that it has to do with the mosaic of humanity and how small things influence others such as a stone in a river or an inclusion of a cristal in a body of glass can imply movement.
Pourquoi choisir de travailler le verre ?
I work in glass since it can work much like minerals or gems respecting the physical laws of nature. Where an accident can be beautiful.
I have always been attracted to different materials for their natural qualities and for me glass can be at the same time love or violence. It functions around this creative destruction cycle. Very much similar to naturel acts, in working with glass an accident can give a beautiful outcome.
